Peter Bradshaw - For One Horrible Moment
Broadcast on BBC Radio 4
January 6th to February 3rd 1999 (recorded 2014)
Journalist and intermittent comedian Peter Bradshaw wrote and narrated this brilliantly overblown, mock-Gothic account of a boy’s childhood in 1970s Cambridgeshire.
The storyline involved his stern and eccentric father’s unhealthy interest in electroconvulsive therapy, the companionship of his faithful dog, Jif Mousse, and a premature sexual initiation at the hands of a mysterious girl named Susan, to whom the young hero bears an uncanny resemblance…
